Vacuuming

Roomba. What a vacuum and if anyone is thinking about purchasing one, I would. During a nap I can put the Roomba in the living room while I'm vacuuming and mopping the kitchen. I received this gift from my parents earlier this year and thought "why do I need this, why" It takes 45 minutes to vacuum a living room where I can vacuum it in 10, why would I use this.

Now I love it! It vacuums in circles and does an amazing job. I leave it in my bedroom while we eat dinner and voila, vacuumed. And it gets under the beds, which I could never do with a large vacuum. I do love it, so if you are in a debate, get one! You can purchase them at Costco for a little cheaper.

Happy Birthday

Yes my boys turned another year older. This is kind of a late post, but a wonderful 1st Birthday for Isaac and 30th Birthday for Donovan. Yes Donovan has had to share his birthday his whole life with his sister and now his son. He is good at sharing, thank you.

We had a wonderful family birthday with a few of Donovan's friends and our family. Thank you for everyone who helped Isaac and Donovan celebrate. We enjoyed seeing you all and had a great time.

My cute boy. Now I gave him his first hair cut. I buzzed it all off and will have to show you a photo soon. I cried. Isaac has wonderful thick hair and it is all gone. Thanks to Heidi who gave me a great cutting tip, so hopefully it won't happen again.

On his birthday. Cute little outfit and it was a work day for me so I didn't even get to stay home with him, but he took cupcakes to Heidi's house for everyone to eat. Happy Birthday!

Our little helper

We are already teaching our little man to do laundry, or maybe all chores. He loves the dish washer, wash machine, dryer, vacuuming, pretty much everything that is not a toy. I don't know maybe he thinks we have fun doing chores, soon he will be helping and really hate every minute.

Busy

So I've been keeping myself busy. So many friends having little babies and finally some girls being born. These are two baby blankets I sewed for little Madison (Sandy and Scott's little girl) and little Kaleb (Chad and Tiffany's little boy). They turned out so cute. I really loved Kaleb's and wanted to keep it for Isaac, guess I'll have to start sewing another one.

So I've been very busy this summer so far. Busy is a blessing. . . This summer I've had the wonderful opportunity to photograph two weddings, so many new families I'm meeting, and babies being born. Every evening it seems I've been busy editing photos. It has been so much fun meeting everyone and the last wedding I shot on the 28th was a blast. The couple was awesome. Now I'm busy planning Isaac's first birthday cake. I can't believe he is going to be 1 in a week. Where does time go??

SLEEPING!!!

Finally about three weeks ago Isaac started sleeping through the night. From 7:30 to 6:00 or 6:30. Heavenly. 6:30 is still a little early for two people who love to sleep, but Donovan and I take turns on the weekends sleeping in, which is usually around 8am. We used to sleep until around 9-10 in the morning, not anymore.

I now understand why they say don't put blankets in with a little baby. This is how I found Isaac sleeping for nap this morning. When I pulled on the blanket, he woke up for a few seconds, and it was tightly held in his hands. He loves his blankie now, only for bed time though.

Yes, these are before bed, should be settling down, but we tend to get him to start laughing. He still falls asleep really easy. Hopefully he'll turn into his mom and dad, love sleep and start sleeping in until 9???

New Pool

Isaac got a new pool and loves it. Our yard is not very much fun for a little kid his age. Once he gets a little older he will have a blast in the yard, but right now too many steps, hills, slivers, skunks, etc. Yes Donovan and I encountered a skunk about a month ago doing yard work!
