Happy Halloween - LATE - Sorry!

Halloween is NOT my favorite holiday. I hated dressing up as a kid and even now as an adult. This year it was so much fun. Mostly because I could talk my child into wearing a costume - you wear a costume and you get candy! Plus I think he makes the cutest monkey.

Friday night we went over to my sisters to have dinner and carve pumpkins. This was such a fun evening. Isaac misses their house SOOOO much.

The Isaac pumpkin is Donovan's creation. He is so talented!

Saturday night we went to spend with Grandma Sue. This photo cracks me up. No Sue usually doesn't wear makeup like that. Sue was dressed up like a clown in the whole get up and Isaac wouldn't have anything to do with her, wanted to leave, and held on to me with dear life. So Sue had to undress and still had on her cute makeup.

Our little Monkey.

First house. Yes we are practicing with Grandma Sue. He loved it! We went to about 20 homes and he did very well. Sad that Grandma Molly and Grandpa Tom weren't home. We used your driveway and neighborhood anyway to trick or treat at. Miss you though.

Disneyland!

What a trip. About six months ago a Disneyland commercial came on and Isaac could say all the character's names. I knew we had to take him. Billings is really fortunate to have the Allegiant flight - direct to LA, cheap, and cheap! Two weeks before we were going they were selling tickets for $29 each way! We didn't get that deal, but still a great deal. I haven't been to Disney"land" since I was 6 years old. So I was excited to see California Adventure and compare Disneyland to Disneyworld.

Isaac did pretty good with all the characters. We were so lucky to have Nichole join us and my sister's family. My poor little niece got the swine flu on their 2nd day of vacation. So once we met up at Disneyland she was a sick little girl. My sister and brother-in-law took turns staying with her in the room. At least my nephew and the other parent could come to Disneyland and hang out with us. We had a great time, just missed Brinnley in A LOT of the photos.

We went to Goofy's Kitchen and had a great time and breakfast! Poor Brinnley is missing from this picture. She is sleeping in the stroller. I might have to work Photoshop magic and put her in this picture because I love it of the whole group. Once again poor girl. . .

Our first day out. . . our first ride - Buzz AstroBlaster for my nephew. It was a fun ride and Gage is in LOVE with Toy Story. He was in heaven with all the characters - at a distance. He gets pretty nervous. Isaac didn't seem to care, didn't want to get too close without mom or dad, but didn't cry.

The boys surfing. California Adventure is a fun park and has quite a few rides for the kids. They enjoyed this night a lot!

Isaac loves rides. He had a great time the last night we were there and we spent the whole evening at the kids rides area. He loved carousals and dumbo. Isaac is a great traveler. Gets this from his dad, I get a little stressed out traveling and just need to understand that while on vacation the ONLY thing Isaac will eat is french fries. He eats like crap on vacations! Hopefully this gets better when he is older.

Well here is Brinnley. This was her hour outside. I don't know if anyone else has had the swine flu (we have had quite a few family and friends who've had it). It lasts about 3 days of tired, fever and then on the third day they peak up and we thought it was over. Then it hits again for about 2 more days. I think this was her good morning. Then the rest of the trip back in room sleeping. The good thing is no one else got it.

We had a great time. A few things that I've gotten spoiled with at Disneyworld. The castle at Disneyland is about 1/4 of the size. I was sad at that. I think Disneyland is a wonderful park for younger kids because if you go to Disneyworld you really need to stay there for at least 6-7 days. This was a great park to go to for 3 days and then come home. I'm so glad our family came with us and we had a great time!

Happy Fall

I can't believe how much I have to blog on and just can't find time. We got back from Disneyland two weeks ago, and had a blast! Isaac loved Halloween and is really loving the nice fall weather we have been having and the leaves. I really wish the leaves were a gorgeous yellow and orange, but the brown and dirty yellow will have to do. Maybe next year. The cold spell early October just killed the chance at even a half way nice looking fall - my favorite time of year. Oh well, maybe next year.

So more photos coming soon. Promise! I can't believe it is already November and hope everyone is having a wonderful FALL.

Labor Day = Family Golf Day

Thanks to our friends for giving us this set of golf clubs. SO cute! We told Isaac at lunch, you take a good nap and we are going golfing. We had to wake up Isaac and he turned around and said, time for golf?!?! He NEVER forgets anything.

He loved to push grandmas push cart. I think this is just cute.

I really don't know what is funny here. I do know that on hole 9 Donovan had a bad hit and yelled "fore" about 1 second later from the cart Isaac yells "five". We were just laughing, too funny.

I LOVE THIS picture. Too cute. Looking at grandma with love and fun!

We have a little Tiger already. Actually this isn't a hand pump - he is looking at the Airplane.

This actually went better then I thought it would go. He needed to understand that it wasn't over after hole 1. We all played well and had a great Labor Day.

Bar-B-Que

A double rainbow is always fun to see to kick off a great dinner with family.

Isaac had so much fun with the slip 'n slide. Not on it, just playing with the water - great idea Grandma. We didn't even have to worry about him, he stayed here for at least 30 minutes. Maybe I need to get one of these?.?.

I love this photo - so Isaac. No he's not a trouble maker.

So the story of the tumbleweed. A huge wind storm blew through and the next thing I hear is screaming in the back yard. The tumbleweed was after Isaac, he was terrified. There were about 20 of them blowing across the yard and all "attacking" him - I guess. So I had to convince him they were just small trees and wouldn't hurt him.

Daddy and Isaac capture the tumbleweed. Wow thanks for saving us all :)

The Zoo

Okay, so finally I got some pictures off my camera. You would think I would better at this, but I'm so busy right now I'm horrible with Isaac + family + pictures. Not good. We went to the zoo about three weeks and I got some pictures I like. YES!!!

This is the first time I've seen the tiger out, so that was cool. Donovan wasn't impressed, oh well. I just love the front garden area anyway. It is a nice walk and beautiful zoo - I think!

Update

Little Isaac . . . poor kid. Yes his hair is not combed, he is in his pjs, and he wanted his picture. Why won't he do this when I dress him all cute and put him in a cute hat? KIDS, Boys!

Either way this is our sweetheart. . .

He hates school, still cries on the way to school, and this little back seat driver knows when we are getting close to school. This change has really affect him at home too. He now doesn't want to nap or go to bed. It is good for him, the teachers really enjoy him, and I think once he is there he is getting use to the place. The teachers said on Thursday they got him to laugh a couple of times, so he is starting to warm up to the situation - it is only week two - hopefully by the end of the month.

He caught his first daycare cold, sounds like he has matured to age 18 in one day. His throat must really hurt, but it hasn't slowed him down at home.

We love him! Such a joy - LOVE this smile.

Seasons of Change . . .

Last week. . .

Friday my sister, mom, and I loaded the kids up into two vehicles and headed to our Grandparents for the weekend. A beautiful ranch that sits at the foot hills of the Crazy Mountains. I love it up there. My cousin is raising two lambs for 4H and the kids enjoyed seeing an actual lamb and listening to it baa. Isaac touched them and showed the least amount of fear.

I will have to post additional photos from this trip because there are tons. Some great ones of all the kids; my angel of a niece, my fun loving nephew, and my adorable son. But today it is a sad post on how this is the last week my dear sister will be watching Isaac. If you could only see tears, good thing this isn't actually paper as my writing might smear.

Isaac loves his cousins so much. Each and every morning he gets to spend with them he lights up saying their names. It will be interesting to see how much they will actually see each other once the school year starts. The three emigos!

Look at the twins below. They are really close to 2 months apart and can fight like sister and brother and then turn around and love each other more. I love this picture.

As we were walking away from the lamb barn I noticed this wall. Same color as Brinnley's shirt. So we stopped and took quite a few photos before heading to the house. I love this series of photos. The kids were so good and we got quite a few great shots.

The little angel. She is going to be trouble in high school. Her sweet little voice that says "hello" in the mornings. So soft you can barely hear her, so sincere. I love her smiles, her hugs, and her little girl attitude just makes me smile.

My sister - an amazing mom, sister, and aunt. We have grown pretty close since she started watching Isaac having to learn the rules of daycare etiquette - sick kids, pay, food, we made it work and it was always nice having the same days off.

She is amazing with kids and I'm so excited for her to start her own preschool with her good friend. Together they will be teaching three classes 2-5 year olds. She is finally doing something she loves to do and I am proud of her.

Plus this next stage WILL be good for Isaac, but change stinks. I hate change, but I guess welcome to life - full of changes. Next Monday will stink - I'll let you know how Isaac does. I'm sure in 1 month it will be old hat and he will have not just 2 great cousins for friends, but a whole 2 year old class of friends.

The only other thing that stinks - selfish me, is I won't get to see my sister at LEAST three times a week. She will work be working on days I have off and I will be working while she has off. Even if it was a 10 minute catch up, it was always a good 10 minutes.

Heidi thanks for the past 1.5 years of watching Isaac, he loves you tons and will miss you even more. I will miss you too.

Golf

This is a cute clip of Donovan and Isaac watching golf. Isaac loves to watch golf with his dad. If the player makes a putt, it's "nice shot" if he misses, it's "MISS"!

At least they can enjoy watching tv together.

Cleaning off our Family Memory Card

I always find photos from months ago when I clean off Donovan's little camera. So I'm going to update you with some fun photos over the past couple of months.

Isaac's new Mickey chair, I think it is adorable how he sits in it.

We had a picnic on G&G's new kitchen floor. Donovan helped Dave with some yard work and Isaac hung out at the house for a morning.

Trysten and Tycen spent the night a couple of weeks ago and Isaac loved having them around. They played a mean game of basketball that morning in the kitchen, it was cute to watch them. They are so good with Isaac always including them and such loving kids.

Gage spent the night at our house for Isaac's birthday. He did a great job and we had such a fun night and morning. Thanks for making Isaac's birthday special Gage.

Our Family 2009

A little update on our family. We finally had the chance to update our family photos and Chelsea Winterholler did a great job. She is a photographer that just moved to Nebraska. I went to school with her older sister and we got together this summer and swapped photo time. I love how the photos turned out - Thanks so much Chelsea.

Isaac is a kid all his own. He is very determined and independent. If all the kids are playing in the sandbox and he doesn't want to, he won't go along with the crowd - he knows what he wants and does it. Nice, but frustrating if what he wants isn't on the agenda with us. He communicates really well and finally we can talk through wants and avoid most tantrums. This just started last week - hopefully he had terrible twos before he was two!

Isaac has the best laugh and makes us laugh daily. Now with new saying and sentences. He new since the British Open is on is "putt hole", which sounds like well you can figure it out. Who says putt hole. It makes me laugh.

He is a mommies boy. Which is good and bad. I love the cuddles, kisses, and pats on the face, but I hate the crying when I go to leave the house. Come on dad is NOT that bad. Plus Grandpa always plays golf with you.

Isaac loves his dad, and the new thing is going to the golf course and putting on the green. He is so cute, he pulls out the flag and putts it into the hole. Picks up the golf ball, puts back in the flag and runs to the next hole. We LOVE have dad around. Happy Birthday you two!

We will end with this photo - Isaac's new thing. I think this photo is funny! We had two year checkup on Wednesday and he weighed in at 32 pounds - my solid little football player, and only 35". Poor kid only grew 1" since January, that just doesn't seem right. But they say they learn to do one thing at a time, so instead of growing up he has been learning how to count, the alphabet, all his shapes, and starting to learn colors. Just the other night I heard him counting up to fourteen. He is getting pretty good, not so good with colors though -isn't that a girl thing anyway?

We hope everyone is doing well. Isaac just woke up from his nap. Gotta go.
