Isaac Lived and Mom got to Eat Dinner Alone

Yes I'm talking about Vegas. Man that is just a crazy place always something to do, and most of the mini shows are free outside of the hotel/casinos. The first night was a little frustrating getting from the Airport to the hotel, but once I got settled in I enjoyed my time with my brother, Donovan, and our two great friends from Phoenix. So I'll do a countdown of my favorite things from Vegas. . .

1. Seeing Corinna and Rocky again. We miss them - our great Helena friends. We had quite a great couples group right before everyone moved. So glad to see you again and always fun planning!

2. Watching the Cirque De Soliel Show - Mystere. It was amazing! I cannot believe what those people can do.

3. I have to say #3 on my list is eating WITHOUT Isaac. I eat so fast and never enjoy my meal when eating out. Then I get heartburn and it just is stressful. I enjoyed going to dinner, having time to look over the menu, and sitting for however long and enjoying the company. Thanks for the great company at meal time!
4. Of course along with number 1 was seeing my husband again. He was gone since Monday, so it nice to catch up early and enjoy each other's company.

5. I love just walking the strip and seeing all the amazing architecture. We went to the Paris and the Venetian. We also walked through the botanical gardens at the Bellagio.

The Venetian

The model of the new CityCenter being built. This is an amazing project with top architects all over the world building a whole city on 67 acres within the strip. The building are amazing. Supposed to be complete fall/winter this year.

New York/New York. Our hotel and home for two nights.

6. Of course shopping at the outlet malls. I now can get in my shopping addiction on Isaac and I don't have to buy myself anything. He is now set for summer.

And then I got to come home to a very happy boy. He was so excited to see mama and daddy. I was happy to get home and get hugs and kisses from him too. It is nice to get away and we are very blessed to have wonderful parents that are completely capable of spoiling their grandchildren here and there. It was a fun trip. Thank you Sue for flying up. Isaac misses you already.

Ravioli

I just had to post this little clip. It makes Donovan and I laugh every time Isaac tries to say . . . RAVIOLI.

Worship

This last Tuesday was the Rock n Road Show - Jeremy Camp, Addison Road, Mercy Me and two other bands (a little on the heavy side for me). I love the first three band and the whole show was only $10. This show was at the Metra and I was blessed to attend with my sister. We got there at 6:45 and the Metra was flooding with people. I think the Metra holds around 12,000 and there probably was 10,000 + there to worship with amazing Christian bands.

This concert lasted 3 hours and was a great St. Patrick's Day end.

The cutest thing. . . across the row from Heidi and I was a boy (maybe a 6th or 7th grader). Towards the end of the show he moved down 1 row and picked up his little sister (maybe 2nd grade) who could barely stay awake and held her during the last 20 minutes. It was so cute. He was rocking her to sleep and singing to the music. Made my evening to see such love between a brother and sister. Granted I never had an older brother, but some are just "too cool" to do something like this. It was cute.

Type A

In high school I hated changing classes at the semester. Was gym going to be in the morning and I have to sweat? Will I know anyone? Right when I was getting into a routine they switch it all around. I don't know if it was because I was shy, I hated change, or I just didn't like not knowing anyone in class. I know this is the story of "life" and I am getting better with age at handling change. I think it is because I'm more confident. Of course work interviews and photographing people I don't know all help. I'm a routine person. I don't even like time changes.

I have to say going through changes in life is a lot easier with my best friend and husband, Donovan. It is a little easier to tell the boss you are transferring, buying a new house, or having a child with someone by your side. I couldn't imagine doing all this by myself.

I figure babies are even more routine people, which is why I am on page three...

Yes tomorrow I'm leaving for Las Vegas to meet up with Donovan and friends from Phoenix. It should be so much fun. Donovan has been there since Monday and my in laws will be at our house watching Isaac. Looking at this cute photo of him. It already makes me miss him. He will be in great hands, but we have a routine that he follows. It only took him 2 days to change for day light savings. Yep he is already getting up at 6:30 again - that stinks.

So here are my three pages. I don't think I'm done either. I have lists on how to work the television, what he likes to eat, and daily schedule. I know Type A personality. I only trying to help and I would want a list like this if I was ever in charge. My dad thinks I'm crazy and I know Dave will too. My mom feels it is helpful and who knows what Sue will think. If she doesn't look at them it is fine, but at least they are there for "reference".

I've had people ask what is with the doors? They put plastic on the french doors for painting or staining. Very helpful.

Finally all the painting is done except some touch ups. Once the plastic was removed all the bad painting doesn't show up. Now I just look through the door instead of at the door. Look at the mess in the office. That is were all the crap is out since we are now working on the mudroom.

3 gallons of tan, 1 gallon of blue, 1 gallon of white ceiling paint, and 1 gallon of white trim/door paint - we are almost finished painting!

The architect in Donovan came out. We needed to tile in a pattern. Man oh man. Why? But I do have to say it is coming along and looks great! Now we have to make all our cuts - the time consuming part.
